Join us in the Care Weekender tent at the Harlow Town Show for live music, dance, shows and workshops. Celebrating the care, creativity and community of Harlow.

Co-created with our local steering group, the Care Weekender uses art and culture to bring people together and sprinkle some joy!

SATURDAY PROGRAMME

Voices of Harlow Choir - Returning to the CARE WEEKENDER for the third time! This time with a special playlist featuring songs about care.

Ugly Bugs WingDing! by Enter Edem - The Ugly Bugs are having a ball, this aristocratical bunch of outrageous folk can be found causing mischief and mayhem wherever they fly in! Come along early and make a mini-beast puppet! 

Harlow Poetry Circle - Harlow Circle of Poetry is Harlow's first official Poetry Stanza registered with the National Poetry Society. The poetry group fosters an encouraging, nurturing, inclusive space where poets and poet enthusiasts unite, share and thrive free from competition. 

Chris & Cat - two members of the CARE WEEKENDER Steering Group take to the stage to showcase their talents. 

Efua Sey Cultural Academy - Returning to the CARE WEEKENDER for the third time! Expect high octane acrobatics and learn some African drumming rhythms! 

9 Acts of Care (revisited) by Rhiannon Faith Company featuring Sonas Quartet in association with Saffron Hall - Revisiting the "thought provoking and inspiring" performance 9 Acts of Care which was performed at the 2022 Festival of Care. Expect a brave, physical and tender dance theatre show about the essential need for care and community and hope for a better future. Co-created and performed with a gang of professional dancers, local people from Harlow and the Sonas Quartet. 

Kid's Bubble Disco with DJ Dom! - Blow some bubbles and dance to the beat with DJ Dom on the decks! 

Introduction to the Care Workshops - find out more about Rhiannon Faith Company's Care Workshops with a taster session led by counsellor Annette Henry. 

Dance Fusion - Dance Fusion are once again bringing the vibes to the CARE WEEKENDER, come along and get dancing!

Ghana Union Art activity - Learn about Adinkra symbols and their meanings with Ghana Union.

Community Embrace Care Cafe - Community Embrace are here to welcome you to the Care Weekender tent with a cup or tea or a refreshing cold drink. Come and sit down and relax.

Yoga with Miranda - Start the day right with a taster yoga session from Miranda.

Tractor Time! by Michaela Cisarikova Dance Company - Tractor Time! is a vibrant family dance performance that digs up the joy and togetherness of working the land and the simple pleasures of gathering and celebrating harvest. Stick around after the show to say hello to the Tractor, hop on for a ride & photos!
